US Election information - NO, 2020 was not rigged; see the evidence over decades US elections are trustworthy

 With the midterm elections coming up, unfortunately, the trump administration continues to whine about 2020. They need to keep it 'fresh' to pander to their base and keep them angry about the 'stolen election', which defines the term the Big Lie. The maga base either has never seen the endless interviews and evidence presented by the January 6 congressional committee's exhaustive investigations, or read or seen the 64 or so court rulings that the trump campaign lost, or listened to trump's inner circle ALL say, when under oath, there was no evidence for fraud or a stolen election, or know Fox News had to settle for $787 million dollars in the Dominion case after, again under oath, admitting they purposely played along with the false Big Lie narrative while knowing there was no fraud. Rupert Murdoch himself testified under oath and admitted the Fox News stars should not have played a long with this, although they did and still do because it simply means better ratings. THIS is what "alternative facts" mean. 

In a partisan, divided nation, about as close as we can get to objective truth is in the courts. This is where one cannot just say what they do on the street, or at the water cooler, or on TV. When under oath, one tells the truth or risk punishment. It is remarkable to listen to someone like Rudy Giuliani outside of a court room, where he screams at the top of his lungs 'this is about fraud and a stolen election!', and then listen to him under oath on the witness stand, where he says things like 'this is NOT about fraud or a stolen election.' THIS is why trump has LOST EVERY court case. By the way, the latest scheme to go after state voter roles and have the administration determine who can and cannot vote, which clearly violates the Constitution, has started another streak of court losses, now at 16 losses and 0 wins. 

Don't forget that trump's administration was in charge in November of 2020. His victories occurred in 2016 under Obama, and 2024 under Biden...it sure would've been a lot easier to throw elections against trump when Democrats were running them! They must have forgotten how to do it in 2024. And let's not forget rampant fraud would have to happen in environments where hundreds, if not thousands, of election lawyers and rank-and-file members of BOTH parties are in every state, watching everything happen in real time; not to mention all press organizations from all parts of the news spectrum, as well as global press - all itching to find 'the story' to break and win their Pulitzer Prize! And in front of election monitors and officials from both parties, on-site of every polling place in the country, and under oath to be honest and fair. And with US law enforcement and intelligence agencies at heightened levels of oversight. And with every state government fully engaged and watching/monitoring everything, where every republican governor and secretary of state signing off that the elections are fair and reliable. 

For anyone or any party to ever pull off massive fraud, entailing millions of votes...wow, more power to them if everyone watching didn't catch it! I have become a little more sarcastic over time, certainly due to frustration when evidence is ignored. If the studies, evidence, testimony under oath, and court cases ever show rigged elections, I'll be the first to jump in line and demand the truth, regardless of party.

The Jan 6 congressional site alone has vast amounts of information and testimony from the investigations, and most notably clips from dozens and dozens of interviews with trump administration officials at the time, while under oath, and who were in charge of the election! For US election research in general, going back to the 1960s, here is an AI meta-study I did just to see what comes up, and for an analysis of findings over decades of US elections. The conclusion is US elections are remarkably fair and trustworthy; fraud is not impossible, but so amazingly rare and small that it cannot affect results. And anyone who is still skeptical can do a similar AI meta-study within minutes. 

I fear many are falling and have fallen into the trap of Orwell's most essential command: 

If one can get a substantial amount of a population to follow this command, one can become an authoritarian leader.
